Dr. Tandy was born and raised in Napa, California. He and his wife, Carolyn, got married after Dr. Tandy finished college and his wife finished her R.N. degree. They have raised 3 daughters and now the family has expanded to include 3 son-in-laws and 8 grandchildren.

After earning his Bachelor of Science degree at Pacific Union College in Biology, Dr. Tandy went on to complete his Doctor of Dental Surgery at Loma Linda University. A personal invitation from the Dean resulted in a residency at Loma Linda University in Periodontics. He completed a Perio Residency and was awarded a Masters of Science Degree plus he also received a certificate in Perio. His masters thesis focused on gingival curettage. Also, he completed the university and hospital training in Anesthesiology. He has enjoyed practicing his profession for more than 40 years.

Dr. Tandy is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association and the Redwood Empire Dental Society. He is also a member of the American Association on Periodontics and the California Society of Periodontics.

Important to Dr. Tandy is being involved in the local community. He has been a supporter of the Ukiah Symphony, Community Concerts, the Ukiah Boys and Girls Club, the Ukiah Community Center, Plowshares, the Ukiah Chamber of Commerce and was a member of the Rotary International (South Ukiah Rotary Club). He is a member of the Better Business Bureau.

Away from the practice he enjoys traveling, being with his family and friends and reading.

The good news is he plans to continue working couple more years with Dr. George Morarasu as they provide the high quality of care the community has grown to appreciate and respect!

Dr. Morarasu was born and raised in Romania. Ukiah is his new home, after living in the Bay Area where he practiced Periodontics. Dr. Morarasu completed a residency in Advance Periodontics at the University of Colorado where he received his Certificate in Periodontology as well as his Master in the Science of Dentistry. His master thesis focused on the use of Cone Beam technology for Dental Diagnosis. He also received additional training in Implant Dentistry with Dr. Carl Misch. Dr Misch is considered a world wide expert in Implantology. Dr. Morarasu is very fortunate to be trained by him.

Dr. Morarasu practiced General Dentistry for five years in Minneapolis before starting his Graduate Program at the University of Colorado. He also taught at the University of Minnesota as an Adjunct Clinical Professor for the Department of Emergency and Comprehensive Care. He completed another residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the University of Minnesota. With a Doctor in Dental Surgery degree and 15 years experience in the dental field he proudly says that many roles played in the dental world help him to be a better practitioner: treatment coordinator, register dental assistant, manager, general dentist, educator and periodontist. Having been a general dentist gives Dr. Morarasu greater insight into the outcomes the general dentist is attempting to achieve for the patients.

He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, an exceptional status that only 2,200 periodontists have achieved since 1939. He is a long standing member of American Academy of Periodontology and American Dental Association.

Away from the practice George enjoys traveling, reading a good book, hiking, fishing and cooking some of the Mediterranean dishes. Two of his favorite inspirational quotes:
